The standard all-wheel drive (AWD) on the R1T can be paired with a Dual-Motor or Quad-Motor. The Quad-Motor adjusts the torque for each wheel independently which allows for four-wheel torque vectoring and superior off-road capabilities. The Rivian R1 can rock crawl at 100 percent grade. The standard air suspension allows drivers to increase ground clearance from eight to 14 inches and drive through water over three feet high.
